My experience at FIRST helped me get a head start in my internship, as it taught me LabVIEW, which is something I used in my internship a lot. The internship also taught me more non-FRC specific programs, and learned how to better share and communicate results. This internship allowed me to experience what it was like to be a programmer before I entered the workforce, which allowed me to find that I wanted to be a programmer. This is part of the reason I decided to go to college for programming, and to shape my career as a programmer.

I learned to use solidworks and onshape efficiently, and for manufacturing I learned how to use a CNC router to rapidly produce sheet metal parts. I was able to work directly in the Conceptual Innovations shop, where I worked with complex hydraulic systems and learned to be meticulous in my assembly processes.
